If completed and results become available, this tool validation would provide French-language clinicians and researchers with a validated instrument to assess food reward, a recognised component of appetite control. Current registry record provides no evidence of efficacy or validation.

Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04041830). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: University Hospital, Clermont-Ferrand. Recruitment status: TERMINATED. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 37 participants (ACTUAL). Conditions: Normal Weight Adults, Adults With Obesity. Interventions: BEHAVIORAL: Visit 1; BEHAVIORAL: Visit 2. Primary outcome measures: Change in Food reward , day 1 , day 8. Brief summary: While Food reward is an important component of the appetite control to consider, there is actually no tool that has been developed in French to perform its evaluation. The Leeds Food Preference Questionnaire (LFPQ) is a validated and recognized tool to assess food reward, being however developed for British populations. The aim of this work is to validate a French version of the LFPQ among lean and obese adults.
