[C-11]PiB-PET/MRI / Alzheimer Disease · Phase 2 Trial
ClinicalTrials.gov · August 12, 2026
Early or partial results. Treat as a signal, not a conclusion.
This is a planned Phase 2 imaging substudy within the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center cohort, currently recruiting participants to measure brain amyloid pathology using [C-11]PiB-PET/MRI and assess interactions between race, vascular risk factors, amyloid burden, and cognitive status over 5 years. No results are yet available in this registry record.

Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
This study is not yet ready for clinical interpretation. Results, when available, may inform understanding of how race and vascular risk interact with brain amyloid burden in Alzheimer's disease progression, but no findings are reported here.
This is an active recruitment registry record with no reported results; it describes a planned Phase 2 imaging study measuring amyloid pathology and cognitive interactions.

Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
What is missing. This record has no key findings. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT03503331). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: University of Alabama at Birmingham. Recruitment status: RECRUITING. Phase: PHASE2. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 160 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Alzheimer Disease. Interventions: DRUG: [C-11]PiB-PET/MRI. Primary outcome measures: Measurement of pathological beta-amyloid in the brain , 5 years. Brief summary: The primary objective of this study is to measure the concentration and the regional brain distribution of pathologic amyloid deposition using the PET tracer \[C-11\]PiB in participants in the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center cohort. Assessment of interactions between race and vascular risk factors, brain amyloid levels measured with \[C-11\]PiB-PET, and cognitive status will be the primary outcome of this imaging study.
