What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
The article presents views on the development of science and scientific revolutions with focus on public health and considering the ideas of V. S. Stepin and T. Kuhn. V. S. Stepin identified three types of scientific rationality in the development of science (classical, nonclassical and post-nonclassical), and also formulated the concepts of 4 global scientific revolutions from the XVII century to the present. The post-nonclassical period of the development of science (the end of the XX - beginning of the XXI century) was characterized as the formation of interdisciplinary connections in large-scale problem-oriented research, replacing the monodisciplinary research of previous periods of the development of science. One of the most cited in world science is T. Kuhn, who introduced the concepts of paradigm shift into scientific terminology as the basis of his not always logically sound analytical approach to the development of science. Therefore, the authors propose to interpret global scientific changes, including in healthcare, through a more scientifically based Stepin's classification.
