This is a prospective randomized controlled trial registration (NCT07814911) comparing group-based acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with usual care for children with cerebral palsy. The study is not yet recruiting and has posted no results; therefore, no evidence of efficacy or harm can be extracted from this registry record.
Interventional, Randomized, Parallel, Single masking, Supportive Care purpose. Psychological Outcomes, Quality of Life; age from 18 Years; accepts healthy volunteers. Intervention: ACT intervention; Usual/standard treatment. Compared with: Usual/standard care. n = 76. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (lead sponsor location implied).

Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
This is a trial registration with no results posted; the study is not yet recruiting and outcomes have not been assessed, so no evidence of efficacy can be evaluated.
As stated by the source record.
Quoted from the source exactly as published.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
What is missing. This record has no key findings. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07814911). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Recruitment status: NOT_YET_RECRUITING. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 76 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Psychological Outcomes, Quality of Life. Interventions: BEHAVIORAL: ACT intervention; OTHER: Usual/standard control. Primary outcome measures: Level of psychological flexibility , Baseline (before intervention), post-intervention (at 8 weeks), and follow-up (6 weeks post-intervention).; Level of psychological distress , Baseline (before intervention), post-intervention (at 8 weeks), and follow-up (6 weeks post-intervention).. Brief summary: The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate whether a group-based acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) can improve the psychological outcomes and quality of life (QOL) of children with cerebral palsy. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does a group-based ACT improve the psychological flexibility of the participants? * Does a group-based ACT improve the psychological distress, including depression, anxiety, and stress, of the participants? * Does a group-based ACT improve the QOL of the participants? Researchers will compare a group-based ACT to usual/standard care to determine whether ACT improves participants' psychological outcomes and QOL. Participants will: * Receive eight weekly, face-to-face, group-based ACT sessions, each lasting approximately 90 minutes. * Receive home-based practices following each session. * Receive a weekly phone call assessment to address any study-related concerns and provide reminders for the next appointment or assessment day. * Complete the questionnaires at three times: baseline (before intervention), post-intervention (at 8 weeks), and follow-up (6 weeks post-intervention).
