Observational Study.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07906054). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Universitaire Ziekenhuizen KU Leuven. Recruitment status: NOT_YET_RECRUITING. Study type: OBSERVATIONAL. Enrollment: 70 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Alzheimer's Disease, Healthy Adult Participants. Interventions: OTHER: 18F-SMBT-1 PET; OTHER: 18F-SynVesT-1 PET; OTHER: 18F-MK-6240 PET. Primary outcome measures: Relationship between tau, synaptic density and reactive astrogliosis , Baseline; Changes in synaptic density, tau and reactive astrolgiosis between AD patients, controls and centenarians , Baseline. Brief summary: AIM: to investigate the relationship between synaptic density, tau and reactive astrogliosis in Alzheimer's disease (AD) versus healthy controls and centenarians. DESIGN: this cross-sectional study will recruit patients with biomarker-proven AD, age- and sex-matched healthy controls as well as centenarians. All subjects will undergo a neuropsychological evaluation and ultra-high-performance PET imaging sessions with 18F-SynVesT-1 (synaptic density), 18F-MK6240 (tau) and 18F-SMBT-1 (reactive astrogliosis) as well as structural and diffusion MRI. Blood samples will be taken for the evaluation of blood-based biomarkers.
