Preprint.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Gated Delta Networks (GDNs) offer linear-time sequence modeling, yet long-context prefill remains costly due to dense intra-chunk computation, recurrent-state updates, and intermediate state storage. We introduce SparseGDN, a hardware-aware framework that combines structured intra-chunk approximation with input-dependent recurrent-event selection while producing outputs for every token. A block-adjacent solver reduces local Delta-solve computation, while a dynamic selector allocates recurrent-update budgets across head pairs. The GPU implementation materializes updates only for selected events and reconstructs token outputs using compact state snapshots and group-local interactions, reducing computation and memory traffic. We evaluate SparseGDN on Qwen3.5-4B and Qwen3.5-9B across RULER tasks and context lengths from 4K to 128K. Retaining approximately 29% of recurrent events on average, SparseGDN achieves 1.50-1.94x GDN-core prefill speedups over native FLA kernels, including online selection overhead.
