Early or partial results. Treat as a signal, not a conclusion.
This is a completed cluster randomized replication trial of behavioral nudges (patient text messages and clinician EHR alerts) to increase breast cancer screening among primary care patients. No results have been posted in this registry record as of the current date; the study design and enrollment are reported but outcomes remain unreported.

Registry record of a completed replication trial with no results posted; describes planned interventions and design only, with enrollment achieved but outcomes unreported.

Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
What is missing. This record has no key findings. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT06995703). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine. Recruitment status: COMPLETED. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 8490 participants (ACTUAL). Conditions: Breast Cancer. Interventions: BEHAVIORAL: Pre-Visit Patient Text Message; BEHAVIORAL: Post-Visit Patient Text Messages; BEHAVIORAL: Smart Data Element (SDE). Primary outcome measures: Proportion of patients who complete a screening mammogram within 3 months after the visit , 3 months. Brief summary: In this study, personalized nudges to clinicians and patients will be evaluated to help increase breast cancer screening rates in accordance with USPSTF guidelines among women with a primary care visit. In partnership with Penn Medicine (Penn) and Case Western Reserve University-University Hospitals (UH), two complementary, concurrent 6-month, cluster randomized, pragmatic trials were conducted from December 2023 to October 2024. This trial will now replicate those interventions at Lancaster General Health (LGH), incorporating learnings from the primary trials while also adapting to align with existing health system protocols and policies. The patient nudge interventions include pre- and post-visit text message reminders to encourage the patient to schedule their mammogram, and the clinician nudge intervention includes a Smart Data Element message in the electronic health record (EHR) reminding the care team that the patient is overdue and that patients are more likely to complete their screening if recommended and ordered by their clinician.
