Interventional Study.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05523817). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Massachusetts General Hospital. Recruitment status: RECRUITING. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 80 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Major Depressive Disorder. Interventions: DEVICE: Intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation (iTBS). Primary outcome measures: Resting-state functional connectivity (FC) , 1 hour; Blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD) activation , 1 hour; Applied Cognition-General Concerns scale , 10 minutes; Profile of Mood States Tension subscale , 5 minutes; Profile of Mood States Vigor subscale , 5 minutes; Profile of Mood States Dejection subscale , 5 minutes; State Shame and Guilt Scale , 5-10 minutes; Fawcett-Clark Pleasure Capacity Scale , 5-10 minutes; Digit-Span Test , 5 minutes; Tower of London Task , 5-10 minutes; Delayed Match to Sample Task , 5 minutes; The Simon Test , 5 minutes; Face-name Associative Paradigm , 30 minutes; Reading the Mind Through the Eyes Test , 10 minutes. Brief summary: Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a way of non-invasively stimulating specific brain networks and is an established treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). This proposal will reveal network mechanisms of the therapeutic effects of rTMS by investigating how stimulating each network specifically changes network connectivity and behavior. This will be done in a highly individualized manner in depressed and healthy patients, leading to more effective and more individualized treatments for depression.
