Observational Study.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07903181). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University. Recruitment status: NOT_YET_RECRUITING. Study type: OBSERVATIONAL. Enrollment: 50 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Malignant Phyllodes Tumor of the Breast. Primary outcome measures: Progression-Free Survival According to Early ctDNA Status Transition Patterns , From treatment-line initiation to radiologically confirmed progression, death, or censoring (up to 24 months); ctDNA at pretreatment baseline and before Cycle 3. Cycle length varies by regimen (usually 28 days; sometimes 21 days or other durations).. Brief summary: Malignant phyllodes tumor of the breast is a rare fibroepithelial tumor. Patients with metastatic or unresectable disease have limited systemic treatment options, and there remains a need for biomarkers that can dynamically reflect disease changes during treatment. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) may provide additional information on tumor burden and disease progression through a minimally invasive blood-based approach. This prospective, multicenter, observational cohort study will enroll approximately 50 patients with advanced malignant phyllodes tumors of the breast who have distant metastases or are currently not candidates for curative surgery and are planning to start systemic therapy. Peripheral blood samples will be collected before treatment and at predefined time points during the current systemic treatment line, including time points corresponding to routine imaging assessments. Individualized tumor-informed ctDNA monitoring panels will be established using patient-specific somatic variants identified from tumor whole-exome sequencing obtained during routine clinical care. The study will primarily evaluate the relationship between dynamic changes in ctDNA during the current systemic treatment line and progression-free survival (PFS), and will explore the potential value of longitudinal ctDNA monitoring for disease monitoring and prognostic assessment in advanced malignant phyllodes tumors. Study ctDNA results will not be used independently to guide clinical treatment decisions.
